The festival and its founders look to bring together various artistic genres to people and an area that may not usually (or easily be exposed) to such varied thoughts and viewpoints. These different perspectives and the people that represent them (often from different age and ethnic demographics) will have the opportunity to interact in away that may not be normally afforded.
FTFF Director, Gregory Glover
After years of traveling the independent film circuit, Gregory Glover learned one particular thing: “When you are an independent filmmaker, unfortunately, that doesn’t pay the bills.”
The vision is to bring a segment of the film community to Augusta, where Glover thinks that, over time, producers and directors will see the benefit of utilizing the area instead of the perpetual backdrop of New York.
The goal from the beginning is to create an event that would act as a tool for creative people and the companies they work with to develop their careers and to bring together people from a wide area to meet and share ideas.
